Thank you for being here to read my new series about the social injustices happening every day here in ! I know my last article was long and not my normal 'genre' of writing material. However, sometimes you need to take a turn, take a shot and make it count.
This is Article II in a series I'm now writing and will possible be posting elsewhere; about the wrongful imprisonment of someone who had their legal medication on their person and was jailed for it! It's also about the homeless in Pennsylvania being jailed. It's really about anyone who needs help, especially with drug addictions and can't afford to pay the excessive rent required by the so-called Recovery Houses under the direct supervision of the Department of Corrections and their State Probation and Parole; as-well-as the Bureau of Community Corrections as a whole.
This is important.
Not just because my son had right rights, liberties, freedoms, dignity and livelihood taken from him along with many others; but because he has paid his debt to society (like many others) and worked really hard at his sobriety while continuing to get harassed by the egregious overreach from the Department of Corrections Probation and Parole who only view him and other addicts as 'low-hanging fruit' they can keep taking advantage of (and probably getting paid as their 'bonus gravy train' ) at least, someone's getting paid somewhere imho. Otherwise, this wouldn't be happening!
"RULES FOR THEE AND NOT FOR ME" as the saying goes and how true it is, INDEED!
Rhetorical Q: WHEN WILL THE CRIMINALS WHO ARE LOCKING UP PEOPLE ILLEGALLY, FINALLY BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE ????
I'm theorizing that someone's got to be making some serious money (or receiving some other types of benefits) off these individuals otherwise none of this would even be allowed to happen.
I personally believe they take (actually, steal) money from the strawman accounts as well - or from the accounts tied to your birth certificates and their corresponding bond numbers, but that's an entirely different subject matter I probably shouldn't even mention here. Oh well.
In addition to outright stealing taxpayers money (which I believe also happens) from their truly excessive and ridiculously growing budget requests every year (even after closing multiple prisons) they still want increases in budgets to the tune of a hundred and forty million dollars, for just one year - that's just the increase for one year The actually totals for their budget in over 3 BILLION now.... WTAF!???!
Although the yearly budget testimonies are available online (since the FY-2010-2011) WE the taxpayers, still demand to see a full accounting of what the 'costs' actually are in the very same categories they list as justifications in their talking points for budget increases; as-well-as, how much and where the money goes... all the way down to the bottom dollar, PERIOD! ESPECIALLY IN THE HALFWAY HOUSES LIKE KEYSTONE!
We want to see where the money is going... we DEMAND a FULL AUDIT!
Someone has to look into this!
Now, on to the main problem (of many for the DOC and the people they are supposed to SERVE!).
Having LEGAL MEDICATION should NEVER get anyone JAILED in state prison (or any jail) even if the Department of Corrections Parole Officers (or agents as they now want to be called) write up phony reasons for PVs - that's parole violations if you're keeping up - so as to cover their own asses because they all know it's wrong!
The behavior of the Department of Corrections State Probation and Parole Officers (or agents) in these cases is criminal!!! It NEEDS TO STOP! SOMEONE in the right position with the right power, standing or authority MUST STOP THEM! They gave my son and I proper standing now, for a law suit.
They claim on one hand to want to lower recidivism (you'll barely see that word anymore) and show you only some statics and numbers that make their past efforts look good in their 'testimony", while on the other hand they're asking for the largest increase in Fiscal Year budget, EVER - even after closing 2 facilities!

Just give them the money is how these presentations and so-called 'testimony' reads - just like any presentation meant to gloss over and garner support with blind obedience rather than anyone using critical thinking skills - like, oh IDK... perhaps/maybe, 'show us your accounting, like the actual costs in numbers and HOW you spent every dollar last year and what your actual costs are projected to be', rather than just telling us all the good you will be doing and using percentages like the costs of food going up (yea, we know) and gas for POs going up... (yea, so what?)
Social Security has NEVER seen a percentage increase such as the ones approved for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. $140,000,000.00 just as an INCREASE without such numbers to justify more inmates, just inflation (when they want more money, then they admit inflation is real).
We see you.
Terms like Halfway Houses are now referred to as Community Corrections Centers (CCC) and Community Contract Facilities (CCF)... sounds much better, right?) These 'facilities' were originally established in the early 1970s by the Department of Corrections (DOC) Bureau of Community Corrections (BCC) established in the early 1970s.
This is only one point in major question here. The BCC needs to be held responsible for their accounting as well. Their STATE web page under the DOC makes a LOT of claims they just can't back up when it comes to the so-called services and treatment they claim to provide.
I AM that person. I refuse to believe bull sh!t when I know it to be just that, BU!! SH!T!
Let's take a gander at medication time again (I covered some of this in my first report, last article posted here) it's for state sponsored suboxone but not legal medical Marijuana... WHY?
* Someone HAS to call out the state for not enforcing the LAW regarding the legal protections of medication in the state! Otherwise, the state is committing extortion on a massive scale (since they take your money to allow you the legal use of THC as medication.
THC as Medical Marijuana is protected under State of PA law: The Controlled Substances, Drug, Devices and Cosmetics Act signed into law on April 14, 1972, as LEGAL MEDICATION. Also the PDMP (prescription Drug Monitoring Program) protects Medication in Pennsylvania.
According to Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association, The Pennsylvania Department of Health was charged with 'enabling regulations' what ever that means in 2016, after it was signed into law for medicinal use of certain conditions. The law is the law. You can't regulate the law after it's created. LOL omg. That's so unconstitutional!
Who gives the Department of Health that kind of power, WHO, I ASK?

If the Pennsylvania State Governor (to whom the Department of Corrections also reports directly to...) were to step up and just handle this - all Governor Josh Shapiro needs to do is tell the DOH and especially the DOC they MUST ENFORCE THE LAW and abide by the laws that PROTECTS LEGAL MEDICATION or perhaps he can refer this matter to the DOJ - it's that simple!
Is this a 'criminal protecting criminals' situation or is Governor Josh Shapiro actually trying to help... seems obvious to me but, we shall see.
This will be an ongoing matter and I'll post updates as they become available.
Update: I was able to retrieve my sons belongings however, I had to take multiple videos of the condition because it seems self-evident they played hockey with his personal belongings MANY holes and scrapes all over the bottom of the bags that, even dragging on a regular floor wouldn't cause! Documented.
His clothes fell all over the parking lot by my car when the worker lifted the first bag from the blue dolly and started to put it in my backseat. ALL OVER! He said, "Oh sorry, I didn't know they packed it like that". I was mortified by the condition of how his personal belongings were handled and the total lack of respect encountered!
The second bag he put in my car very quickly and carefully, but not before I saw and pointed out the holes on that bad as well. I asked how, "How am I supposed to get that inside when I get back home, without it breaking and spilling all over the parking lot?" It wasn't light either. He asked if I wanted two more bags and I said yes.
I won't get into any more details now, about the total lack of respect this worker had for me - but it's on video.
This entire part of the ongoing situation is not complete, for I am purposely leaving out a few things since I am under no obligation to disclose everything here. It's not that I don't want the reader up-to-date, but I am in the process of working on legal matters and I don't want to get ahead of myself here.

Please forward to anyone you know who has had their LEGAL MEDICAL MARIJUANA MEDICATIONS withheld by ANY institution, especially the DOC (Department Of Corrections).
Any facility in the health care industry that won't allow you the ability to have or use your legal medications NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.
Certain facilities may need to hold or administer (or hand out) your medication, but LEGAL MEDICATIONS ARE NOT CONTRABAND! The DOC can't make up their own rules against the LAW and withhold legal medications, for any reason.
Someone's got to tell them... and hold them accountable!
If they give out Suboxone and we still have hard drug and opioid epidemic, perhaps it's time to consider the alternative and actually let people use the medication of THC that works for curbing cravings (it has for my son who is now over 6 months clean and sober).
Let's start taking the solutions seriously here and not being concerned with how to make money off the backs and blood of people!
Most people with drug addictions do have either PTSD, anxiety or both.... so they wouldn't have much trouble getting their prescriptions after paying:
- Initial fees of of $159+ for doctors visit
- Additional $50 fee for your actual card
Yearly requirement fees for renewal:
- $199 and up for doctors visit
- $50 card fee
* I will add that PA does help anyone on financial assistance programs with the $50 waiver if you're on a state financial assistance program.
I might also add that NONE OF THE DOCTORS VISITS ARE COVERED under your insurance!
One MUST then ask: Why is this a cash visit only? Why are you not allowed to have this as a covered visit in PA if it's a byproduct of a LEGAL doctors visit issuing LEGAL PRESCRIPTIONS?
Here's why it's stupid and insulting to most logical thinking folks: If you see your doctor who is legally registered by the state to prescribe medical marijuana; and you're there for a regular visit or checkup (covered under insurance) and you discuss your health concerns or issues, symptoms, etc. and receive your typical prescriptions (if you have any) during this visit... why is Medical Marijuana legal medication any different?
Why wouldn't your doctor be able to prescribe an additional medication for you? OK, if your doctor is registered, which I'm sure they had to pay the state for.. let me check that right now...). No information available for PA, of course! Of course they would make the doctors pay to get registered. It a system of GREED AND CONTROL!
Why does the State of Pennsylvania allow the BIG INSURANCE companies to literally extort money from people by forcing them to pay separate CASH fees for an entirely different and quite unnecessary, appointment? It doesn't make sense - unless someone is making a nice hefty profit off We The People and the taxpayers.
ITS CRIMINAL AND I'M CALLING IT OUT! I'm calling out the Health Secretary and the department of Health; The governor; and the Department of Corrections as a whole entity!
One MUST wonder why it's set up to extort people like this... I suppose the greedy will always try to monetize Mother Nature, but I digress on this very correlated issue, but that's enough for today on that part.
The ability to use your legal medication WITHOUT INTERFERENCE is the IMMEDIATE issue here.
Not throwing people in jail on a PV (parole violation) saying "Oh well, 'you' got kicked out of your halfway house so you 'violated your parole'..." when the only reason 'you' got 'kicked out' was because 'you' had your legal medication on your person... But THAT doesn't seem to matter - and they'll work around the REAL REASON on paper (calling it contraband and such) so they can steal even more money from you or worse; perhaps some just get off on their power trips but I digress again!
One HAS TO ASK these questions when things just don't make sense.
Zooming out to see the bigger picture often leads one to 'discovering' how rotten things have become and greed at the highest levels is usually where you find the true core of most of these problems. Someone must be getting paid very well for all these 'shots' (sending someone back on PVs parole violations),. They LOVE PVs - like I said earlier, low-hanging fruit for them!
GROSS, DISGUISTING and all those terms too!
Most times, people WON'T speak out because of the sheer humiliation and stigmas attached when family member goes to jail. I for one, am done hiding my scars, pain and all the rest because JUSTICE demands that I speak up now.
The treatment we've received has been brutal and totally disrespectful. It's scarred us but most importantly my son, for life. He has a sense of relief that someone's got his back! He's still clean and sober over 6 months now, so he's doing what he needs to do, THANK GOD! I've always had his back but had to step away at times and let him take accountability and meet the consequences of his own actions. I hated it. As a mother, I hated it but it's called tough love. However, he didn't do anything wrong this time and he's been taken advantage of, quite cruelly. I can't let that happen without holding them accountable.
My spidy senses said something is REALLY OFF HERE and so, HERE I AM!
There are MANY OTHER PEOPLE this affects.
Time for some changes. I'm here for it. I am NOT suicidal nor am I stupid. I love and respect myself. I will always stand up for what's right and have lived my entire life that way. I don't always get it right but I AM A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS right now! The fact that I even have to put that in writing says a LOT for the world we live in now and the price some pay for speaking up. I will not let fear get in the way of what is RIGHT and JUST. The true criminals need to face their crimes now, especially off the backs and blood of the most vulnerable.
